Lynwood's humble beginnings in 1969 served as the foundation for a growing church to repeatedly outgrow their space to meet the needs of new generations as the community around them grew.
As the church looked towards the future, the leadership team dreamed of expanding their building to meet their growing needs. With the goals of adding larger gathering areas for meals, a new gym and classrooms for their school, and a dedicated space for the Access Special Needs ministry, they knew they needed to cast a big vision to their large congregation. They asked me to help them share their vision with their congregation to garner support for their support rasing camping.
Over Zoom and Phone Calls, I worked with the Pastors and Media team to plan a series of 8 Videos they could share to educate their congregation about the project. After the scripts were finished, I began storyboarding and set filming dates with the team. We planned to film every video over two weekends before the winter holidays arrived.

I traveled from Champaign, IL. to Cape Girardeau, MO. to film each video and gather archived footage from previous videos that I could use for B-Roll. We wrapped productions and I began creating the final versions of each video. We scheduled each video to be released on alternating weekends from January to March. I shared proof versions of each video using Frame.io and made any corrections needed before a subsequent release.
A total of 8 videos were completed, all on time for their commencement Sunday ceremony on March 8, 2024. Some videos featured panel-style interviews while others highlighted specific ministries the team wanted to celebrate. Each video was shared during Sunday morning worship services, as well as a special webpage built to educate the congregation about the project.
Using these videos to share their dream, the church leaders led their congregation to successfully brake ground in August, 2024 and plan to complete the building by the end of Fall 2025!
