In the year since New City Church launched in August 2020, they had moved into a new building and doubled in size. To maintain healthy growth and succeed in their mission to "Saturate the City with the Gospel," Pastor Nick recognized the need to simplify and standardize their visual communication, update their website, and reach out to the incoming freshmen of the University of Illinois.

The Pastor recruited a Church Creative Team to address these issues. I was a designer, alongside Ben our Creative Director, and Brett our Full Stack Developer. We knew we wanted to make a new website to reach incoming students, so we began our work by defining what the New City Brand was. I built a brand guide for pastor Nick with Adobe Xd to help him understand the importance of brand congruency.
Brett and I built Webflow templates using my preliminary Adobe XD Designs. After he began coding, I began gathering content with Ben to fill the website were building. I captured photos and videos that he used to fill the website with powerful images.

Ben and Brett completed the website while I designed new Sunday Morning Worship Service Slides, printed updated connect cards, and built entry banners to craft a successful multi-channel New City Church experience.

Through our work, New City Church used powerful multimedia communications to reach the new freshman class. Within a year, the church expanded to two Sunday morning services and small group engagement increased by 25%.
